I was painting on a farm somewhere in the Catskills one day with a group of artists.  While I was painting a barn,  I noticed these cows taking great interest in what I was doing.  I grabbed my camera and took a few photos of them. Today, on this warm breezy day,  I decided to paint them. Here is the result.

I am honored to be included in this amazing charity event to raise money to help cure Cancer. Artists from all over the world were asked to send a postcard size painting for their auction. Here is my watercolor painting “Flowers and Fruit” on its way from Candia, New Hampshire, USA to Magpie Springs - Gallery.Cellar Door.Vineyard in South Australia for the International "A Small World" show in November 2016!

It's that time of year when flowers are beginning to bloom. Every year at this time I paint lilacs. I love everything about them. They smell so great and they remind me of when I was a child playing in my mother's yard. She had huge lilacs growing in various shades of purple. Their fragrance was like heaven!  Here is a watercolor I painted a few days ago.

Yesterday was unseasonably cool and very cloudy outside. I went into my studio and turned on my little heating stove and decided to paint something light and fun to brighten up my day. Here is the results.

Recently I spent time relaxing and painting in Scottsdale, Arizona. The weather was perfect! Sunny and in the high eighties every single day.  I sketched and painted in the sunshine and really enjoyed my time there. Now, I have lots of photos and sketches to work from. Here is one of the paintings from my trip.

A few years ago, I went to see the Nutcracker to watch my beautiful great niece Corinne dance. She was the star of the show! At one point in the show, she was patiently waiting side stage for the others to finish their performances and for her queue to return to center stage.  I glanced over her way and loved the way the light was hitting her white dancing gown. I had to paint her! Here is "Waiting to Dance".
