I was painting on a farm somewhere in the Catskills one day with a group of artists.  While I was painting a barn,  I noticed these cows taking great interest in what I was doing.  I grabbed my camera and took a few photos of them. Today, on this warm breezy day,  I decided to paint them. Here is the result.

It's that time of year when flowers are beginning to bloom. Every year at this time I paint lilacs. I love everything about them. They smell so great and they remind me of when I was a child playing in my mother's yard. She had huge lilacs growing in various shades of purple. Their fragrance was like heaven!  Here is a watercolor I painted a few days ago.

Yesterday was unseasonably cool and very cloudy outside. I went into my studio and turned on my little heating stove and decided to paint something light and fun to brighten up my day. Here is the results.

Recently I spent time relaxing and painting in Scottsdale, Arizona. The weather was perfect! Sunny and in the high eighties every single day.  I sketched and painted in the sunshine and really enjoyed my time there. Now, I have lots of photos and sketches to work from. Here is one of the paintings from my trip.
